This album comprises 6 slow and mellow jazz tracks by the Italian artist Paolo Pavan. The jazz combo consists of tenor saxophone, drums, bass and piano. This release is on the edge of smooth jazz and fusion, i.e. it can’t decide whether you sit in a smoky bar after your third bourbon or are at home in your designer living room, thinking about new paintings to buy.
Pablito’s Way (track 05) should be the album’s opening song. It has energy and rhythm that will make you move your feet…
Second (track 02) is a great example of the album’s slight melancholy, while never sounding sad. A thoughtful piece with a one-minute intro, before the saxophone takes over the motif.
